Black Friday is upon us! Hopefully everyone has recovered from their turkey coma, and now it’s time to gear up for the weekend. While a lot of folks are checking out holiday sales for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Many of us just aren’t into the crowds and hassle of shopping. If you’d rather be doing anything else but trolling the malls and stores, check our some of our favorite events going on in Atlanta this weekend:
The Atlanta Falcons will be playing on Sunday, with a 4:05pm kick-off time vs. the Arizona Cardinals. If you’re up for tailgating, this will give you plenty of time to grab some booze and food and head down to the Georgia Dome parking lots. Be sure to bundle up though! The Georgia Dome may be warm inside, but it’s going to be a chilly on Sunday.
The Atlanta Hawks will be in town during the holiday weekend. Basketball games can be an affordable way to take the entire family to a sporting event. Also, Hawks games tend to produce a celebrity sighting or two. Check out the games going on at Philips Arena this weekend:

Cirque du Soleil
This is the last weekend for the wildly popular Cirque du Soleil: Amaluna performances. The show takes places under the Grand Chapiteau Big Top tent in Atlantic Station, which seats over 2,600 spectators per performance. Amaluna invites the audience to a mysterious island governed by Goddesses and guided by the cycles of the moon. The show is running all weekend, but Sunday is the last performance until next year!
The classic story of Dirty Dancing will be performed on stage at the Fabulous Fox Theatre this weekend! Favorite hits such as “Hungry Eyes,” “Hey Baby,” and “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” are featured alongside the unforgettable romance of Baby and Johnny. The show runs through Sunday night with matinee and evening show times available.
Brantley Gilbert is bringing his tour to Atlanta with special guests Tyler Farr and Chase Rice. You can catch the show at the Gwinnett Center Friday at 7:00pm. Favorites such as “Smalltown Throwdown,” “Country Must be Countrywide,” and “Bottoms Up” will be performed by the Georgia native. The “Let it Ride Tour” is sure to be a great show for country fans!
