In a previous article, we discussed how the Atlanta Braves are fortunate to play in one of the best venues in spring training. Champion Stadium is located inside ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex and a few minutes away from Disney World. In addition to catching a ballgame, these attractions make a compelling case and help lure families to the stadium every weekend.
As a result, weekend Braves spring training tickets are some of the most sought afters seats on the secondary market. In fact, when popular baseball clubs like the Yankees and Red Sox visit, the stadium usually draws over 10,000 fans.
Food at Champion Stadium
Champion Stadium does a good job offering traditional ballpark food at reasonable prices. There are endless options to chose from including,
- Chicken tenders
- Chicken sandwiches
- Cracker Jacks
- Pulled pork sandwiches
Catchers cafe on the first base line is one of the most popular food stands. They serve awesome gyros and brats. If you’re a craft beer lover like myself, then you’ll enjoy their awesome craft beer selection. Last year, Champion Stadium had Bell’s Oberon on tap!
They even run an insane deal if you buy a souvenir beer cup. The first beer is $8, then refills are $4/$5 for premium beers. Additionally, Champion Stadium offers game-day specials on beers after the first few innings!!

If you’re a meat and potatoes guy like me, just around the corner from the ball park is the Charley’s Steakhouse. This attraction serves big steaks and huge cocktails! Orlando also offers some great dining options, including the world class Yachtsman Steakhouse at Walt Disney Resort. Yachtsman Steakhouse offers 21-day dry-aged steaks and 18-0z Kansas City Strip.
