Alumni Sunday this week features Jeff Francoeur, Steve Avery, Charlie Leibrandt, Paul Byrd. Head to the Georgia Power Pavilion to grab some autographs before the game. As always, kids under 14 can run the bases before the game.

Sunday is also Boy Scout Day! Catch the special parade before the game. Additionally, there will be special games featured in the Sand Lot for all kids.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the latest addition to Atlanta’s sporting community. The new venue will be home to the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United FC, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Super Bowl 53, and several other events! With the addition of the new stadium, fans have questions, and Front Row Seats has answers!

Where are the ATMs located in Mercedes-Benz Stadium?

  • 100 Concourse: Sections 101 and 122
  • 200 Concourse: Sections 203 and 229
  • 300 Concourse: Sections 304 and 332

What is the bag policy?

Mercedes-Benz Stadium has a implemented the clear bag policy. The following items are allowed inside the stadium:

  • Clear plastic vinyl, plastic or PVC bags. Must not exceed 12″x 6″ x 12″.
  • One gallon clear plastic freezer bag.
  • Small clutch bags. Must not exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″

Do children need tickets?

Mercedes-Benz Stadium operates on a height policy for children’s tickets. Children less than 31 inches tall do not need their own ticket, as long as they can sit on a parent’s lap. Strollers must be check in at Gate 1 or Section 116. Additionally, diaper bags are allowed as long as the do not exceed 6.5″ x 4.5″.

Should I pre-pay for parking?

There are more than 20,000 parking spaces within a 20-minute walk of the stadium. Not all lots and decks accept payment day of game, and the best lots fill up quickly. We highly recommended to purchase parking ahead of time. To find your designated parking spot, enter your lot name into the Waze app and navigate!

Is tailgating permitted?

Tailgating is permitted at designated lots. Check your parking lot’s tailgating rules. If you lot does allow tailgating, be sure to follow these rules:

  • Vehicles may take up on one space.
  • Grills, chairs and coolers may not take up their own parking space.
  • Landscaped areas may not be claimed exclusively.
  • All trash and coals must be disposed of properly.
  • Tailgating in multi-level garages is prohibited.

When do the gates at Mercedes-Benz Stadium open?

For most events, gates will open two hours prior to the event. Gate times are subject to change.

What are mobile tickets?

The ability to use print-at-home tickets has been discontinued for Falcons and United games. Tickets must be displayed on a smartphone to enter the venue. Do not print mobile tickets, they will not scan properly!

Do Uber and Lyft service Mercedes-Benz Stadium?

Uber and Lyft are a a great option for fans looking for a safe way to and from a game! The preferred drop-off and pick-up area is located at the Blue Lot on Northside Drive. This is about a 10-minute walk to the stadium. Also, the Blue Lot also provides ADA shuttle service to and from the stadium. The secondary drop-off and pick-up area is at the corner of Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Andrew Young International Boulevard.

Where is the closest Marta station?

Fan using MARTA are in luck! There are two stops right outside the stadium. For just $2.50 each way, fans can enjoy the convenience of Atlanta’s railway system. The preferred stop for arrival and departure at Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center Station. This station is the closest stop. Additionally, fans can use the Vine City MARTA stop.

Will the roof be open on game day?

Mercedes-Benz Stadium features an amazing retractable roof! This state of the art technology allows the roof to be open or closed at any given time. The position of the roof will be determined on game day, depending on outside conditions.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is set to be one of the latest and greatest stadium in sports history. Fans will be clamoring to the arena for football, soccer and concerts. Additionally, national events such as the Final Four and National Championship will be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Atlanta United FC has not played a home game in over a month. July 31st marked the last home game, which was played at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Luckily, the wait was worth it. In four days time, Atlanta’s football club heads home to their brand new field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Head down to Mercedes-Benz Stadium to witness history in the making! Atlanta United FC will take the field this Sunday afternoon for a match against FC Dallas. A crowd of over 70,000 is expected for this game. Atlanta United will be striving for a win in their first game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. However, Dallas has been winless for five straight games, and will be itching for a victory.

Atlanta United Countdown to Kickoff

For those who like to tailgate and arrive early to the game, check out these important checkpoints pertaining to the game:

  • Parking Lots open 4 hours prior to kickoff. Want to tailgate? Make sure your parking lot allows it!
  • Gates to Mercedes-Benz Stadium open 2.5 hours before kickoff.
  • The team arrives 90 minutes before kickoff. Fans can participate in a team welcome at Gate 2, also known as the “Front Porch.”
  • The Support March begins 75 minutes before kickoff. Participate in this fun parade to get pumped up for the game!
  • The team will start warming up on field 45 minutes before the game starts.
  • The infamous Golden Spike arrives 20 minutes before kickoff.
  • Then… the game begins!

  • Halftime occurs 45 minutes into the game. Fans can use this time to check out the new stadium. There are plenty of fun food and drink options to take advantage of.
  • Alcohol sales end after 75 minutes of play time. Be sure to get those drinks beforehand!
  • The match will end after 90 minutes, plus stoppage time.
  • Immediately after, enjoy the Golden Spike Ceremony!

It’s August, and summer is quickly coming to an end. Kids are heading back to school, and Atlanta natives are waiting patiently for cooler weather. Luckily, baseball season is still in full swing! Alumni Weekend: Braves vs. Marlins

Friday, August 4 

  • Friday Night Fireworks: It’s a Friday night game at SunTrust Park. That means awesome Friday Night Fireworks postgame! The Braves fireworks show has been voted the best in the Southeast. So stay in your seat after the game for a dazzling show!
  • Poster Giveaway: The first 20,000 fans through the gates on Friday will receive a John Schuerholz Hall of Fame poster! Schuerholz was the Braves general manager for 17 years, then moved on to be President of the Braves organization for 9 years, and was just inducted into MLB Hall of Fame! 
  • Alumni Autographs: The entire weekend will be dedicated to Braves Alumni. On Friday between 6pm and 7pm, Braves greats of the past will be available around the park for a meet and greet! Keep a close lookout for these living legends, and grab an autograph or two! A map of autograph stations will be provided when entering the park.

  • Alumni Weekend Parade: Alumni Weekend continues with surprise visits from former Braves Players! At 4:30 PM, fans will line the streets of The Battery for a Braves Legends parade. Braves greats of the past will be available to meet and sign autographs. The parade will begin at the intersection of Battery Avenue & Heritage Court and travel down Battery Avenue.The parade ends at Circle 75 Pkwy.
  • Alumni Introductions and Softball Home Run Derby: At 5:30 PM, Braves Legends will walk a red carpet as they are introduced onto the field. Following introductions, the Legends will square-off for a fun, but competitive Softball Home Run Derby!

Sunday, August 6

  • Alumni Selfies: Braves Alumni will be available for photos before the game. Head down to field level at 12:30pm to take some amazing selfies with Braves players, right on the field!
  • Topps Baseball Card Giveaway: The first 40,000 fans through the gates will receive a Braves player pack of Topps baseball cards. This is a fun collectible item!
  • Kids Run the Bases: After the game, Kids 14 and under can line up and run around the bases just like their favorite Braves players!

Atlanta Symphony Hall

Gillian Welch – Saturday, August 5: Gillian Welch is a mixture of bluegrass, country, and americana. Welch is widely known as a producer and performer on tracks of the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack. Performing with her musical partner, guitarist David Rawlings, the pair put on quite the show. The duo will perform the entirety of their “The Harrow & The Harvest” album at the Atlanta Symphony Hall.
Lyle Lovett – Saturday, August 19: Lyle Lovett has made 14 albums over his extensive career, winning four Grammy Awards along the way.  A show like this is must-see! The country superstar will perform his many hits at the Atlanta Symphony Hall this August.

Chastain Park Amphitheatre

Straight No Chaser – Thursday, August 3: Straight No Chaser is a professional acapella group. The 9-man group rose to fame in 1998 when their “The 12 Days of Christmas” YouTube video went viral. Now, Straight No Chaser is an international sensation! For this tour, they are performing alongside Scott Bradlee & Postmodern Jukebox, with Jon McLaughlin.

Australian Pink Floyd Show –  Saturday, August 12: Australian Pink Floyd is a Pink Floyd tribute band formed in 1988. The show mimics the original band’s style, with lasers, inflatables, and a large display screen. This show features all the classics, so if you’re feeling nostalgic, check out The Australian Pink Floyd Show!

Umphrey’s McGee – Friday, August 18: Compared to Phish and the Grateful Dead, Umphrey’s McGee is what is known as a “jam band.” The band experiments with many musical styles, including rock, metal, funk, jazz, blues, electronic, bluegrass, and folk.

Lakewood Amphitheatre

John Mayer – Thursday, August 10: John Mayer is known for hits such as “Daughters,” “Gravity,” and “Half of My Heart.” This Grammy Award-winning artist is sure to have fans singing along at Lakewood Amphitheatre. The Search for Everything Tour, also featuring The Night Game, has been reviewed as memorable and emotional.

Matchbox 20 & Counting Crows – Sunday, August 13: Matchbox Twenty and the Counting Crows may have risen to fame in the 1990’s but their music is still just as good today! Fans are sure to go wild when “3AM” by Matchbox Twenty and “Mr. Jones” by Counting Crows are performed! The two bands put as much heart as ever into their music on the A Brief History of Everything tour.
